The Loop

Silk Road Rising is located in the Loop, an iconic section of Chicago and the heart of downtown, boasting the tallest buildings in Chicago's skyline and much of the city's finest architecture.

A prime tourist destination, the Loop originally got its name from the looping route of streetcars that served as the transit hub of early downtown Chicago, but the name has come to be defined by today’s looping route of elevated train tracks.

If you've never been to the Windy City, begin by exploring some of the best things to do in Chicago’s Loop. From an architecture cruise along the Chicago River, to viewing the city’s world-class collection of public art, to dining on fine cuisine or tasty street fare, the Loop’s attractions are enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
