The Sultan’s Dilemma explores the tale of a Mamluk sultan at the height of his power is suddenly faced with the fact that he has never been manumitted and that he is thus ineligible to be ruler.
Followed by a Q & A session with Jennifer Reinhardt, Fouad Teymour and Dr. M. Cherif Bassiouni.

This concert reading of The Sultan’s Dilemma is part of the 2011 International Voices Project that celebrates the voices of international playwrights throughout Chicago and is presented in collaboration with Premiere Theatre & Performance, the Egyptian American Society of Chicago, the Side Project Theatre Company, and Silk Road Theatre Project.
